What is a cookie?

This website uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information while you browse. In general, these technologies can be used for a range of purposes, such as recognising you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits or personalising the way content is displayed. The specific purposes for which we use these technologies are listed below.

What types of cookies are there?

- Depending on who manages the cookies, there are:

a) Own cookies: Those sent to the user’s device from a system or domain managed by the web editor and where the service requested by the user is provided.

b) Third-party cookies: Those sent to the user’s device from a system or domain that is not managed by the web editor, but rather by another body which handles the data obtained through the cookies.

- Depending on the purpose of use, there are:

a) Technical cookies: These let the user browse a web page, platform or application and use the various options/services that are available in it (for example, identify a session, access restricted areas, remember the items in a shopping basket, process the purchase of an order, store content in order to broadcast audio or video content and share content through social networks).

b) Analytic cookies: Those that, whether handled by us or third parties, let us quantify the number of users and therefore measure and analyse the statistics around the way users use the offered services. To do so, the way the user browses our website is analysed so we can improve the range of products and services we offer.

c) Preference or personalisation cookies: Personalisation cookies allow user preferences to be recalled when they browse a website they have already visited. For example, they record the user’s preferred language, the user’s region in order to offer them appropriate content, and the type of browser the user is using to access a specific service etc. Preference cookies also allow the user to change the text size, font or other elements of the website that can be personalised. The purpose of personalisation cookies is to offer users an easier, smoother and more personalised browsing experience.

d) Social media cookies and other plugins: These cookies allow users to interact with a website’s content on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. An example of the use of this type of cookie would be sharing a website on Facebook or clicking on “Like”. The conditions of use and the information gathered through these cookies are managed by the social platforms themselves.

e) Advertising cookies: These cookies allow the most efficient management possible of the advertising spaces that the web editor may have included in a web page, application or platform, and where the requested service is provided according to criteria such as the edited content or frequency of display of the advertisements.

f) Behavioural cookies: These cookies may be managed by us or third parties, and they allow the analysis of the users’ internet browsing habits so that we can show advertisements that are relevant to their browsing profile.

- According to how long they are active:

a) Session cookies: These are designed to collect and store data while the user is accessing a web page. They are usually used to store information that is only needed in order to provide the service that the user requests on a single occasion (such as a list of purchased products) and they disappear when the session ends.

b) Persistent cookies: These are cookies which continue to store data on the device and which can be accessed and managed for a period set by the cookie manager, and which can range between a few minutes and several years.

Levels of intrusion associated with the cookies we use

Cookies have an “intrusion level” based on a scale of 1 to 3, as follows:

Level 1: Cookies for essential internal use, for the provision of the service requested by the user.

Level 2: Anonymous cookies for necessary internal use for the maintenance of content and browsing, as well as third-party cookies within the framework of the services expressly requested by the user on their websites (e.g. social media plugins for Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, embedded videos and maps).

Level 3: These cookies are managed by third parties for the purpose of services not expressly requested by the user, allowing them to be tracked through websites that do not belong to our website (e.g. graphic advertising management platforms). When this level is specified, the owner is also named. The use of level 3 cookies is subject to the user’s prior permission through their express confirmation.

Gathering express consent for installing cookies

In accordance with this website’s cookies policy, by browsing the website, users or visitors to it expressly consent to the installation and use of the cookies described below, except insofar as they have modified their browser settings to reject the use of cookies and/or set this website’s pop-up to expressly reject or accept the installation of certain types of cookies.
